YMCA LAST CHANCE MEET!!!
KISH Tri-Meet (Sat, Feb 4)
This is the LAST YMCA meet of the season before the Classic & District Championship.
This would count as one of your "YMCA" required meets and is the last YMCA meet where results can be used for making District qualifying times.

The meet is on Saturday, Feb 4 at the Kishwaukee YMCA in DeKalb (where the Area/State Championships will be held in March).
Warm-ups are at 10:00am...the meet should wrap up by 3:00pm.

Requests to add/change your swimmer must be E-MAILED TO COACH BRYAN BY TUESDAY @ NOON!

• MINIMUM YMCA MEET REQUIREMENT!
  ...All swimmers must have competed in at least THREE YMCA-designated meets during the season in order to be eligible for the Chicago District Classic or Championship meet. Coaches in each practice group have been tabulating which swimmers have met their requirement and/or those who are still in need of YMCA meets to be eligible.
  
  The following meets count as a YMCA meet toward this minimum:
  
  • Lattof Out-of-Shape meet (Oct 23)
  • BRRY Thanksgiving Classic (Nov 19)
  • LTY Sharks Gender Wars (Nov 20)
  • KISH Barb Wire Classic (Dec 10)
  • High Ridge Backwards Invite (Jan 22)
  • Buehler Pentathlon (Jan 29)
  • KISH/TOPS Tri-Meet @ DeKalb (Feb 4)
  
  For those swimmers who have not yet met their minimum requirement...the ONLY remaining meet that you may still be entered in (if you're not already) is the KISH/TOPS Tri-Meet @ DeKalb (Feb 4)
  
  Please see your practice group coach if you aren't sure if your swimmer(s) have met their minimum YMCA meet requirement.


• CHICAGO DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP & CLASSIC MEETS!
  ...All Shark swimmers who have competed in at least THREE YMCA-designated meets will be eligible and be entered into either the Chicago District Championships (March 3--Girls...March 4--Boys) OR the Chicago District Classic Meet (Feb 26)
  
  There are qualifying times (posted on the Sharks' team website) for the District Championships on March 3-4...swimmers who do not meet these qualifying times will be entered in the Classic Meet on Feb 26. Please see your swimmer's practice group coach if you're not sure which meet your swimmer will compete in.
  
  The DISTRICT CLASSIC meet will be @ the Northern Lake YMCA (Waukegan) on Sunday, Feb 26.
  
  The DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP (both Girls and Boys) will take place at the Pleasant Prairie Rec-Plex in Pleasant Prairie, WI on Sat (girls) & Sun (boys), March 3-4
  
  • DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS - as of 1/29/2012



• TEAM PICTURES!
  ...Our annual team picture night is TENTATIVELY scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 22 here @ the YMCA. In addition to team & individual pictures being taken...swimmers will receive their team t-shirts and have a Pasta Party to get psyched up for our Championship meets!
